"Welcome Home, Children"

Ministries for Children

At Bethel UMC we believe that our children and youth are our most precious resource.
We believe that God has entrusted the spiritual care of His children to us and that we must do our best to nurture them in the faith and provide a safe and loving environment where they can mature and develop into faithful Christian disciples.  We strive to meet the needs of families and want each and every person to feel that this is their home.

We believe that we have a wide variety of programs and activities for children currently in place not only for the children of our church but for the community as well.  In addition, we are
constantly in the process of developing new programming and we strive to be
vigilant about updating and adapting current programs and activities for children.

At the present time we provide a nursery for families with infants and children up thru 36 months of age during all worship services and Sunday School.  We have classes for
children ages 4 thru grade 5 and for grades 6 thru 12 in our youth department.  During our 10:50 Sunday morning worship the children enjoy their very own "children's church" planned for their own age level which allows them to spend time focusing on their own spiritual growth.

Each Wednesday evening at 6:00 p.m. we host a "Creative Kids" program for ages 4 thru grade 5.  This program encourages children to develop their creative spirit through arts, crafts, music, drama and fellowship with other children their age.  The children really enjoy coming together to worship God in a different way than they do on Sunday.

We want everyone to feel welcome and at home and have children involved in many of our
activities who are not members of our church family.  We want to be a community church and encourage you to bring you children to be a part of any and all our programs and activities.  Please see the coming events and activities pages on this web sites for our regular children's
activities and upcoming special events.
